Time and again, politicians have indulged in vote bank politics, aimed at sucking up to the minorities and winning the latter’s vote which is instrumental in getting elected.
KCR is no different. Unmindful of the pitiable plight of farmers who are committing suicides in increasing numbers, unmindful of a host of problems plaguing the Telangana people, this man has now constituted a 2 member committee to look into the socio-backwardness of Muslims as a prelude to granting them 12% reservation which he had promised them during the election campaign.
With the BJP having rejected his proposal for an alliance, KCR now seems to be back at wooing the MIM.
The MIM has been asking for reservations for Muslims. Since the Supreme Court has said that reservations on the basis of religion, is unconstitutional, the MIM wants reservations on the basis of socio-backwardness.
Addressing a public gathering in Nagpur on Saturday night, Owaisi, the 45-year-old Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad, had demanded reservation for backward Muslims in government jobs and educational institutes in Maharashtra.
Claiming that "injustice" has been done to Muslims in Maharashtra, Owaisi had blamed the more than 50 years of Congress rule at the Centre and the Congress-NCP and Shiv Sena -BJP governments in the state for the prevailing backwardness of minority community members.
The Shiv Sena hit back strongly at Owaisi without mincing any words. "(Asaduddin) Owaisi is insisting that Muslims should get reservation akin to the Marathas. Such insistence had caused the separation of Pakistan from India. Hatred for Hindus compelled a section of Muslims to take control over Pakistan. Hence Owaisi may try and get his demands based on religious grounds fulfilled in Pakistan," said an edit piece in the Sena mouthpiece, 'Saamana'.
Owaisi says 'Muslims have suffered a lot and hence I speak up for them'.
"But will he give a count of the sufferings of Hindus due to the terrorist activities of extremist Muslims? If extremists start communal violence and terrorist activities after listening to his speeches... Owaisi's speeches should be termed as hateful and action should be taken against him," the Sena said.
But public opinion will obviously be in favor of Owaisi for India is full of pseudo-seculars like KCR who use Muslims as a tool for votes and indulge them for their own personal agrandisement without regard to the impact their actions are going to have on the nation.
The ISI is already helping lakhs of Bangladeshis cross the border into Assam. Instead of driving the illegals out, the previous government at the Center was guilty of providing the illegals with voter and ration cards in return for their vote.
The game plan of the ISI is mind numbing. India should be aware of their intentions. The country should not have to go through the hell of a third partition!
