TRS Over-Crowded, Defect To Congress!

TRS Over-Crowded, Defect To Congress!

The Telangana Congress leaders are now trying to fish in troubled waters to strengthen party in Telangana. They are approaching TTDP leaders to join Congress, instead of TRS, which is already overcrowded with defections from all Opposition parties.

AICC incharge for Telugu states Digvijay Singh asked TTDP leaders to admit as many leaders from TTDP as then can so that the next elections would be a straight fight between Congress and TRS.

With indications of TRS joining NDA goverment in future, the Congress anticipates that it has to face TRS-BJP combine in 2019 Assembly elections and to improve winning prospects, it has to ensure non-split of Opposition votes due to TTDP and instead admit all leftover prominent TTDP leaders into Congress by then.

The Congress is hopeful that TRS will not be in a position to give tickets to all defected leaders due to their huge numbers and as election near these disgruntled leaders will be left with no option but to join Congress to contest the elections.

Congress Rajya Sabha member V.Hanumantha Rao already made a public appeal to TTDP leaders to join Congress instead of over-crowded TRS, which can't guarantee tickets.

He said if TTDP leaders are really sincere about fighting a battle against TRS government and KCR, they should join Congress so that they together can take on TRS in 2019 elections.
