80000 sq. ft. was allotted for a trust run by Venkayya Naidu and his friends, near Atkur in Vijayawada.
Founded in Nellore in 2001, the Vijayawada Chapter of the ‘Swarna Bharat Trust’ was inaugurated by Home Minister Rajnath Singh amid much fanfare.
The trust intends to improve rural India apart from propagating Indian values and cultures. The motto of the trust is Gandhiji’s dictum ‘back to villages’.
One does not whether to laugh or cry at this duplicity of the trust’s founder, Venkayya. Back to villages?
Chandrababu Naidu is grabbing whatever agricultural lands he can lay hands on while Venkayya stays accessory to this act. And what does promoting Indian values and culture mean?
Making promises in Parliament and then reneging on them? Founded by such people, what credibility will such organizations carry? Surely, there must be something behind it all.
