Ashok Babu, President of the AP NGO’s Association said that there was a section of government employees who were reluctant to shift to the new capital as they were worried over the lack of facilities.
If the government made necessary arrangements, then they will surely shift, says Ashok Babu.
Are these government employees not aware of the fact that the State has been bifurcated and is going through a financial crisis? Are they not aware of the fact that it will take some time for AP to provide all facilities?
Can these employees not put up with some temporary inconvenience for the greater good of AP?
When it comes to salary hikes, they resort to dharnas and get the desired increase in wages, but when it comes to discharging their duties, they absolutely refuse to do so unless the working conditions are to their satisfaction.
In other words, they don’t have the spirit of sacrifice necessary at times like these, putting their interests above that of society.
Employees of private companies work their asses of 24/7 for half wages and sometimes no pay either if their company is going through a bad phase.
Not our government employees though! Constitutionally protected, their writ is the rule. Maybe Naidu should first replace this whole bunch with people from Singapore!
