Telangana Gets First Foreign Investment!

It’s just one month since Telangana State was formed and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao took over as the Chief Minister. And it has already started attracting foreign investments.

On Wednesday, the NSL Consolidated Company of Australia announced setting up an iron ore pellets making unit at Siddipeta and Karimnagar areas with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. Company representatives met KCR and submitted proposals in this regard.

The company representatives told KCR that the industry would make use of the available ore in the state for the usage of steel industry which was having 25 to 30 per cent of iron density. They pointed out that Karimnagar and Medak districts were having 220 million tons of iron ore. The unit will come up at Atmakur of Karimnagar district.
