TDP workers show power on toll plaza staff!

TDP workers show power on toll plaza staff!

Power makes all the difference. It gives a lot of power to even the small time leaders of the ruling party and they wield it on the weak people.

On Monday, ruling Telugu Desam Party activists displayed their power on the employees of toll plaza at Keesara of Kanchikacherla block in Krishna district. They created ruckus and ransacked the toll plaza, besides halting the traffic for nearly 15 minutes.

Reason: The toll plaza staff stopped the buses in which the TDP workers were travelling for payment of toll fee.

The TDP activists from two villages near Nandigama were on their way to Polavaram project on river Godavari.

As the two RTC buses hired by the TDP leaders and activists reached the toll plaza, the staff there stopped the vehicle for payment of the toll. This made them angry.

“How dare you ask toll fee from us? We are from the TDP and it is our government,” they shouted at the toll plaza staff, knowing little that it is the national highway and the state government has no role in it.

The TDP activists damaged the window panes of the cabin and entered into an argument with the toll plaza staff leading to tension. Police reached the place and pacified the ruling party leaders and let the buses pass the plaza.

However, no complaint has been registered by the toll plaza staff against the ruling party leaders.
