TDP Senior MLA Goes Silent

TDP Senior MLA Goes Silent

When in opposition, Ponnuru MLA of Guntur district, Dhulipalla Narendra of the TDP was vociferous in his criticism of the Congress. But strangely, he has gone completely silent after the TDP came to power.

Everyone expected him to be at the forefront in responding to criticism of the YSRCP in the Assembly, but Narendra was conspicuous by his silence.

Now Narendra is a five time MLA and keeping him aside, Chandrababu gave a cabinet berth to Prathipati Pulla Rao. Naturally, Narendra was highly disappointed.

It is believed that Lokesh has offered a cabinet berth to Narendra only if the latter resigns as the Chairman of ‘Sangam Dairy’.

There is resistance to land acquisition for the new capital in Narendra’s constituency too. But Narendra is apparently not trying to quell the protests.

Responding to the media who questioned him on this issue, Narendra said, “It is the responsibility of the concerned Ministers. Why should I work under somebody with whom I have absolutely no sense of relationship? While some people have done the hard work, others are reaping the benefits. I don’t need anybody’s sympathy. The people of Ponnuru have elected me and it is enough if I do them some good.”
