TDP MLA To Float New Party?

TDP MLA To Float New Party?

Telangana Telugu Desam Party MLA R Krishnaiah, who has been keeping away from the party activities for quite some time, is said to be toying with the idea of floating a new political party ahead of next elections.

Krishnaiah, who is also heading the Backward Classes Welfare Association, has recently made a statement, albeit of the record, that he would float a new political party exclusively for BCs, before the next elections.

He expressed regrets that the BCs are not able to get proper representation in the legislative bodies despite being more than 50 per cent of the population.

This was not the first time that Krishnaiah announced floating of new part for BCs. He did it in the past, too, but it never took off. This time, he has become an MLA from TDP and this has galvanized the BCs.

He hopes that he would bring all the BCs on to a common platform and fight for their political representation.

All said and done, this will definitely be an embarrassment for the TDP, which is already battered and bruised in the Telangana.
