TDP Leaders Supplied Tapping Instruments?

For the last few days, Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been shouting from roof tops, accusing the Telangana government of resorting to telephone tapping using private instruments.

But what must be shocking for him to know is that the instruments for telephone tapping are being sold by TDP leaders themselves. This startling revelation was made by YSR Congress party leader V Vijay Sai Reddy.

According to Sai Reddy, the only dealers of private telephone tapping instruments in the entire country are two senior TDP leaders: one is Union Minister Sujana Chowadary and the other is Paturu Raam Rao.

He told media that both of them were leaders of the TDP and the Chief Minister must be well aware that the instruments must have been bought from either of these two dealers.

He demanded that Naidu should answer whether or not the phones of the leaders of the Opposition parties, particularly the YSRCP leaders were being tapped.

“It is shameful on the part of Naidu to allege that the phones of 120 leaders of his party are tapped, though he is heading a State,” the YSRCP leader said.

He, however, felt that though prima facie, the role of Naidu was proved in the cash-for-vote episode, the Telangana government was hesitating to initiate proper action in this regard.
