In a strange development, Telugu Desam Party leaders in Visakhapatnam file a case under SC/ST Atrocities Act against their own MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar representing Visakhapatnam South constituency. He is also city TDP president.
SC leaders led by TDP Urban District SC Cell joint secretary Rejeti Chittibabu and leaders O Sivaiah and T Srinivas lodged a complaint against the legislator in the City Commissioner of Police’s office on the day that the MLA had abused them in the name of their caste.
The party leaders also lodged a complaint with party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM and Home Minister N Chinarajappa, District Ministers, State Human Rights Commission, DGP, District Collector, Payakaraopeta (SC) MLA V Anita and others.
They said that they would fight till the last even if the MLA tried to lure leaders from the community, they said.
The SC leaders also said that Ganesh Kumar had humiliated them by removing seniors from the Janmabhoomi Committee and replacing them with juniors.
