TDP Disintegration To Start After May 15?

The ruling Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh is going to witness a rapid disintegration after May 15, if the predictions of Bharatiya Janata Party floor leader P Vishnu Kumar Raju in the state assembly are to be believed.

Raju told media that a massive operation would start against the TDP after May 15 and many leaders in the TDP would desert the party.

“The TDP will face major disintegration and it is not going to retain power in 2019 elections at all,” he said.

Needless to say, the deadline fixed by the BJP floor leader coincides with the results of the assembly elections in neighbouring Karnataka.

In fact, TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed apprehensions that the BJP would turn its attention on Andhra Pradesh and make all out efforts to weaken the TDP and the state.

Raju said the state BJP would soon lodge a complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation into the alleged financial fraud in Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme.

“We are not going to leave Naidu to get away with massive corruption involved in the project,” he warned.

He said the BJP could not gain strength in Andhra Pradesh because of the alliance with the TDP in 2014.

“Now, we will make all efforts to gain a foothold in the state,” the BJP leader said.
