Tall claim: Naidu did what Modi could not!

Surprising as it might sound, countries across the world are aware of Andhra Pradesh state and its yet-to-be developed Amaravati, than India and its capital Delhi.

Well, that is what Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu claims.

He was so much “overwhelmed” by the so-called response he had got from the representatives of various countries at Davos in Switzerland that he made a tall claim on his return from the World Economic Forum: “Now, a state has come where people world over think India means Andhra Pradesh.”

The chief minister claimed that during his visit to WEF conference in Davos, he had succeeded in promoting “Brand AP”, where India as a country failed.

“What India as a country could not do, Andhra Pradesh did. I had conducted at least 50 bilateral meetings with international agencies and many big international companies evinced interest in setting up their shops in Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

Revealing that he had offered to share technical know-how with many countries, the Chief Minister said that the state would help in developing an industrial township in Sri Lanka, so that to facilitate entrepreneurs from the state to set up their units there.

“Now, Andhra Pradesh is a state known across the world,” he claimed.
