Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s only son Nara Lokesh received a rude shock from the students, whom he was interacting as part of his efforts win them back from the influence of YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Lokesh was trying to explain on why the AP government had to agree for a special package in lieu of special category status to AP.
At the same time, he was boasting about the hard work being put in by his father for the development of the state, so much so that he had not time even to spend time with his own family.
At this stage, one of the students got up and asked as to what Lokesh was doing when his father was working hard for the state, while mother Bhuvaneshwari and wife Brahmani were earning toiling to earn money. “What are doing you doing? Enjoying their earnings?” he asked.
A visibly embarrassed Lokesh said his mother was taking care of all his expenses right from the beginning and that he was taking care of party affairs.
On the special package issue, Lokesh said it did not take even two minutes for the TDP to come out of the NDA, as demanded by the Opposition.
“But who will be responsible, if the Centre does not release funds and give incentives for industries?” he asked.
