A Telugu newspaper carried a sensational article that Congress and TDP were in talks over possible seat-sharing arrangements for contesting the 2019 polls.
The article said that Congress and TDP will fight together in Andhra and Telangana.
While Congress will get more number of seats as part of the deal in Telangana, in AP, obviously it will be TDP with higher number of seats.
Reportedly, TDP asked for 30 assembly and 3 Parliament seats in Telangana whereas Congress is willing to concede 15 assembly and 2 Parliament seats.
In Khammam specifically, TDP wants 3 assembly seats and the MP ticket. Congress is okay with the Assembly seats but wants the Lok Sabha seat.
In Andhra Pradesh, Congress wants 50 assembly and 6 Lok Sabha seats whereas TDP is willing to give 25 assembly seats.
Will this alliance mark the resurgence of the TDP in Telangana?
