The Revenue Department of Telangana government has taken Rs 1270 crores from Telangana Beverages Corporation through their Reserve Bank account.
Due to this, the Telangana government is said to be in financial crisis and this could result in stopping salaries to Telangana employees next month say government sources.
IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao has met up with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and requested him to bail his government out of crisis.
Though the FM had promised to resolve the issue in two days, nothing has been done as yet. And this has given cause for anxiety to Telangana government. Meanwhile, the Telangana government is worried about the irresponsible behaviour of the Revenue Department.
In fact, the whole issue turned into a problem with the IT Department cutting the amount from the Telangana Beverages Corporation after they failed to pay taxes following sale of liquor in united Andhra Pradesh.
