Rumour: TRS MP to jump into Congress?

Rumour: TRS MP to jump into Congress?

There is no limit for political speculations these days. Especially in the social media, there is absolutely no control over these speculations and make one wonder whether they are really true or just a rumour to ruin the careers of the leaders they don’t like.

One such rumour doing rounds in some media circles is that Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Peddapalli Balka Suman is contemplating joining the Congress party.

Reason: TRS chief and Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao reportedly told him that he would have to pave the way for senior leader G Vivek, who had earlier represented the constituency twice in 2004 and 2009.

Apparently, KCR prefers Vivek to Suman because the former is a cash-rich industrialist and he would be able to fund the election expenses of all the MLA candidates of the TRS in 2019 elections.

Vivek is now the state government's Special Advisor in Delhi. While finalising Vivek’s candidature for Peddapalli, KCR did not give any assurance to Suman, at least the MLA seat.

This is learnt to have upset Suman. All these days, Suman has been very active in the party and attacking the Congress and more particularly, the Telangana JAC chairman Prof M Kodandaram.

He is also said to be closer to KCR’s children K T Rama Rao and K Kavitha, but both of them have no guts to change their father’s opinion.

Hence, the young MP reportedly decided to join Congress party. He is learnt to have been offered prominent post in the Congress, besides the Peddapalli MP ticket.

However, Suman would come out of the TRS only before the elections and for now, he will remain silent, say the reports.
