Revanth Barred From TDP Meetings!

Revanth Barred From TDP Meetings!

It looks like Telangana Telugu Desam Party working president A Revanth Reddy will face the axe from the party much earlier than expected, may be even before the return of party national president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

On Wednesday, the crisis in the Telangana TDP reached its peak with its president L Ramana asking Revanth Reddy not to call for or attend any meeting of the party or the legislature party anymore.

He also wrote a letter to Naidu, who is presently in London, recommending for immediate expulsion of Revanth, because there was no clarity from the latter on the reports of his joining the Congress party.

Interestingly, Revanth called for a meeting of Telangana TDLP in the state assembly premises on Thursday to discuss the strategies to be adopted in the assembly session commencing on Friday.

However, at the same time, Ramana called for a meeting of all party leaders including MLAs and also the Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs to have a coordination meeting at Hotel Golconda.

Apparently, Ramana’s meeting is aimed at isolating Revanth completely. In any case, there are hardly any MLAs in the TDLP – L B Nagar MLA R Krishnaiah has never attended the TDLP meetings in the past and only Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah has to attend.

But with Ramana calling for a simultaneous meeting, it remains to be seen whether he would join hands with Revanth or Ramana group.
