Renaming Airport After NTR Non-Sense!

Renaming Airport After NTR Non-Sense!

Congress MP V Hanumatha Rao, a hardcore loyalist of Sonia Gandhi family, on Friday flayed Telugu Desam Party and BJP for trying to name Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad) after former Chief Minister and actor N T Rama Rao.

VHR accused that the TDP and BJP combine colluded to make such ‘nonsense’ things. “If any measures to that extent are made,  the Congress will not keep quiet. We will launch a movement and intensify it until such proposal is withdrawn,” he warned.

VHR took serious exception to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju for stating that they will name of Rajiv Gandhi International Airport after NTR.

“How can you change the names of those prominent airports and institutions,” he asked.

Though TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu is becoming CM of AP it is not good on his part to make such changes. If Naidu wants it so, he can do it by naming Gannavaram Airport after NTR, he said. Since AP is to be rebuilt, there is ample choice for Naidu to name institutions with former CM name, Rao said.
