Reddy to lead Congress in 2019 polls

Reddy to lead Congress in 2019 polls

The Congress Party is notorious for its infighting and everyone from the office boy at Gandhi Bhavan to the PCC President dreams of becoming the Chief Minister.

Even in united Andhra Pradesh, even though it was YSR’s Padayatra that catapulted the party to power in 2004,

YSR still had to fight many people to become the Chief Minister, especially the coteries of D Srinivas and N Janardhan Reddy. In Telangana Congress, Jana Reddy wants to become the CM I Congress wins, so does Uttam Kumar Reddy and a host of others.

Last year, Congress In-charge RC Kuntia declared that it would be Uttam who will lead the Party in 2019 polls.

Nevertheless, when Kuntia visited the city to declare the new office bearers, there were many who complained against Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Despite this, after a meeting with Kuntia, Uttam managed to extract a statement once again from the latter that there was no question of replacing the PCC Chief and that he will lead the party campaign for 2019.

This has finally put an end to all speculation that the PCC Chief will be replaced and Uttam can heave a sigh of relief at least until the polls are over.
