Rayapati ends up being just a TTD member!

Telugu Desam Party MP from Narsaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao had only one dream in his life: to become chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams trust board.

He had been trying for the post ever since he was an MP during the Congress regime headed by Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Even after joining the TDP in 2014 and becoming an MP, he did not stop his attempts.

When the TTD chairman post became vacant last year, Rayapati requested Naidu to give him the chance.

He even offered to quit his MP seat for the sake of TTD chairman post, but Naidu did not agree for the same, as he did not want any by-elections to the MP seat.

A dejected Rayapati expressed his frustration openly and even made serious comments against Naidu at one stage.

With the TTD chairman post going to Kadapa leader Putta Sudhakar Yadav, Rayapati has lost his hope. However, on Friday, he got a surprising offer from Naidu.

He was appointed as a member of the TTD trust board, along with 14 others, besides TTD chairman.

Along with Rayapati, those who have got the appointment included: MLAs G S S Sivaji, Vangalapudi Anitha, Bonda Uma and B K Parthasarathy, party leaders from Telangana E Peddi Reddy and Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and other leaders from Andhra Pradesh.

Though it is a sort of solace for Rayapati, it is also an insult for him, despite being a senior politician. But he has no other option before him. At least this way, he will get an opportunity to serve Lord Venkateshwara.
