Senior journalist and founder of HMTV Kondubhatla Ramachandra Murthy is all set to take over as the editorial head of Sakshi Telugu daily promoted by YSR Congress party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
Ramachandramurthy, known for his soft-spoken nature and editorial acumen, has been designated as Editorial director.
He will be replacing Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, once a close confidant of Jagan and played a crucial role in the party till recently. The entry of Ramachandramurthy has more or less closed the doors for Ramakrishna Reddy in Sakshi.
It is new lease of life for Ramachandra Murthy, who was unceremoniously sent out of HMTV television channel and The Hans India English daily by the Kapil Chit Funds group a few months ago.
Though non-controversial, Ramachandramurthy has strong political liking for Jagan and had been part of his think tank in the past. And that fetched him the key post now. Sources said he has been hired for a monthly remuneration of Rs 3 lakh.
Let us hope Sakshi will flourish under the leadership of Ramachandra Murthy.
