PVP to Switch to Active Politics

Prasad V Potluri, the popular producer, has cut down film production after the massive debacle of “Brahmotsavam”.

But he continued producing films like “The Ghazi” in partnership with Matinee Niranjan Reddy, Vijayawada- based producer.

He now wants to plunge into Andhra politics.

In 2014, he had tried to get Vijayawada MP ticket from Telugu Desam party using Pawan Kalyan’s influence but he was disappointed with the Jana Sena leader’s attitude.

Although PVP gave all the funds for Jana Sena when he launched the party, Pawan Kalyan refused to recommend PVP’s name to Nara Chandrababu Naidu.

So, he did not get ticket. Later, he parted ways with Pawan Kalyan and produced a couple of movies.

Now, PVP has almost closed his production house. All the staff members have moved out from his office to pursue their careers in different fields.

His company is not producing any film at present. Buzz is that he is now in discussion with two leading parties of Andhra Pradesh for the MP seat.

Highly placed reports say he is also trying to buy TV9 channel despite the fact that his earlier bid didn’t succeed.
