BJP leader Daggubati Purandeswari, who is also the sister-in-law of TDP Chief N Chandrababu Naidu, seems to have changed 'political track' of late. Purandeswari who always remained a bete noire of Naidu has suddenly started praising him.
At the recently convened press conference, Purandeswari supported the decisions taken by Naidu with regard to Call Money racket, suspension of YSCRCP MLA Roja from the Assembly for one year etc.
Purandeswari said Naidu acted swiftly in Call Money issue and his decision to set up a special court to deal with these cases is highly appreciable.
She urged Opposition parties not to politicise this issue and everyone should look at such issues in a apolitical manner.
Purandeswari also supported Naidu for his decision on suspending Roja. She said those who use abusive language in Legislatue should not be spared, whether the person involved in such shameless acts was a male or female.
TDP insiders debate over what would have prompted Purandeswari to make such statements in favour of Naidu.
Some say it was because she wants Rajya Sabha seat for her brother Harikrishna and wants to meet Naidu soon on this issue.
They say before meeting Naidu, she wants to ensure a 'cordial atmosphere' and her recent comments are aimed in this direction
There are some reports already doing the rounds that Naidu and Lokesh are not in favour of giving another term for Harikishna, who in his previous stint as Rajya Sabha MP quit the post midway to protest the bifurcation of AP causing embarrassment to TDP and Naidu.
