It looks like popular political strategist Prashant Kishor has already started his work in Andhra Pradesh preparing ground for YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to come to power in 2019 elections.
According to party sources, Prashant is giving innovative ideas to Jagan that seem to be working well for him. Of late, Jagan has been talking like a mature politician with new promises.
On Monday, Jagan called for job revolution in the state, along with revolution in education and healthcare.
Addressing a youth convention, he said late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy had revolutionised education and healthcare through fees reimbursement and Aarogyasri schemes.
“Now it is time to revolutionise employment sector by achieving special category status to the state,” he said.
It was only through special category status that the youth would find more and more employment opportunities and should fight to achieve it despite the efforts of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to water down the issue, he said.
Apparently, Jagan has some scheme for the unemployed youth under his sleeve, as per the advice of Prashant Kishor.
He is aware that the Telugu Desam Party’s slogan – Job kaavalante Babu raavali (Vote for Babu if you want to job) has worked for the party in 2014 elections and so, he, too, needs such a big scheme to come to power. However, he may not announce the scheme now but disclose it only during the elections, say sources.
