Pawan fans go on rampage against Jagan

The 'personal' comments made by YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy against power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan at Samarlakota on Tuesday evening has triggered an uproar in the Andhra Pradesh political and media circles.

While there was no objection to Jagan’s political comments against Pawan, what angered the latter’s fans was his personal attack on the power star, dragging his personal issues into the criticism.

During his interaction with media, Jagan said it was ridiculous on the part of Pawan Kalyan to talk about value-based politics.

“He changes his wives like cars. So far he changed four wives. It is nothing but polygamy. Had it been somebody else, he would have been thrown behind the bars,” the YSRC chief said.

Pawan has not immediately reacted to Jagan’s comments saying he would respond during his public meeting. But his fans, known for their intolerance, did not keep quiet.

They went on rampage against Jagan and made terrible, unparliamentary and filthy comments against him, even dragging his wife Bharati and sister Sharmila into the controversy.

Particularly, they targeted Jagan for saying that Pawan had changed four wives, while the fact was that the latter had changed two wives and staying presently with his third wife.

“Who is the fourth wife? Is it your…. ?” was one of the dirtiest comments made by Pawan’s fans.

Jana Sena Party general secretary and senior leader Madasu Gangadhar was a little decent in his reaction when he said Jagan should not have spoken about Pawan’s family matters.

“One should have culture while making public statements. It is unfortunate that Jagan has forgotten this basic principle in politics.

Pawan has never made any personal comments against his political rivals, except on the policy issues. It clearly shows Jagan is an immature politician. We only pray god to give him the required maturity,” he said.
