Even as more and more skeletons started tumbling out of the Panama Papers cupboard, big stars of Bollywood have started going into hiding.
Every passing day, the names of out film stars are coming out one after the other, starting with Amitabh Bachchan and his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Bachchan on the day one itself.
While Amitabh gave clarification, stating that all his investments abroad were white and he had religiously paid all the taxes and followed all the laws of the land. But there is not even a small rejoinder from Aishwarya. She kept silent though there were allegations of money laundering against her.
Subsequently, three other film stars – Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor – figured in the tainted list of Panama papers as economic offenders. But there was no denial or rebuttal from any of the three. They refused to meet even the media who tried to get their clarification. They didn’t even bother to tweet about the allegations against her.
May be, they thought there was no need for them to give any clarification to the media. Apparently they thought they could get away like their political counterparts and hence, they were not answerable to the public. What a shame?
