For the last few days, actor and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is trying to create an impression among the people that he is fighting for the cause of Andhra Pradesh, especially with regard to achieving special category status to the state and implementation of promises made in AP Reorganisation Act.
He is talking to senior leaders like Vundavalli Arun Kumar, Konathala Ramakrishna and Jayaprakash Narayan to form a joint action committee to fight on the issues confronting the state.
On Thursday, Pawan even had a talk with Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief N Raghuveera Reddy to join hands with him.
It is nothing but natural to think that Pawan will fight against the ruling Telugu Desam Party in the state and also the Bharatiya Janata Party at the Centre for failing to address the issues concerning the state.
But surprisingly, Pawan got the support even from TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
At the coordination committee meeting of the TDP, Naidu was all praise for Pawan’s efforts.
“There is a meaning in Pawan Kalyan’s struggle, which is fully justified. He is struggling in his own way for the legitimate rights of the state, rather than seeking petty political gains. We are also endorsing his fight,” Naidu told the party leaders.
The TDP chief asked the party leaders and cadre to appreciate Pawan’s efforts and react cautiously to his demand for a white paper on the Central assistance to the state.
“We don’t have any problem with the joint fact finding committee constituted by Pawan Kalyan. We are ready to share any information that he wants. But, at the same time, the Centre should come out realistic figures,” Naidu said.
