Nothing wrong in hanging Naidu, says Jagan!

YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who kicked up a controversy last week by calling upon the people to gun down Telugu Desam Party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu for cheating the electorate with his false promises, was at it again on Thursday.

Addressing a road show in several villages of Nandyal constituency which is going for by-elections on August 23, Jaganmohan Reddy reiterated that Naidu had never fulfilled the pre-election promises even three years after coming to power.

“He is now repeating the same promises and is reiterating the same assurances which he did not fulfill during his three years in office. What shall we do this cheat? There is nothing wrong if we hang him in public,” Jagan said.

He alleged that the entire cabinet had hit the streets for this by-election and Naidu was lavishly spending the ill-gotten wealth to lure voters.

“I don’t have money like Naidu. What I have to offer is the path shown by YSR whose welfare schemes had touched all sections of people,” he said in one of the rallies.

He said he had immense faith in the people who were looking forward for the return of YSR golden era.

“They believe that our family will always keep the promises given to people and we have history of honouring the election promises as YSR had done,’ he said amid cheers from the gathering.

He pointed out that YSR had shown how welfare schemes could be rolled out to benefit the various sections of people and the Navaratnas announced are a reflection of his ideals, he said.

“The vote in the by-election would be a vote against the corrupt governance of Chandrababu Naidu who failed to fulfill a single poll promise and will be a precursor to the 2019 general elections,” he said.
