No Politics For Now, Says Kiran

Former chief minister of combined Andhra Pradesh N Kiran Kumar Reddy has been in political oblivion for the last two and a half years, but now and then, he makes a lightening appearance in public raising curiosity among the media as well as general public.

There was a talk till recently that Kiran is going to stage a comeback into active politics by joining a political party.

While he cannot join the Telugu Desam Party as he was a bitter critic of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, there were speculations that he might return to the Congress fold to strengthen the party in AP; or YSR Congress party which has bright future; or even the Jana Sena Party founded by power star Pawan Kalyan. The option of joining the Bharatiya Janata Party also was not ruled out.

However, Kiran did not condemn any of these speculations, when he surfaced at a marriage function in Rajahmundry on Thursday.

“I am not in politics now. I did not say anything about my political return in the past, nor do I say now,” he said.

He also refused to make any comment on the demonetisation issue, which is the hot topic at present.

“I don’t want to talk on it now,” he said. May be this is a hint for yet another speculation that he might join the BJP!
