No More Public Meetings: Pawan Kalyan

No More Public Meetings: Pawan Kalyan

Power star and Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan is known for his special appearances, surprising speeches and shocking decisions. Nobody can guess when he comes out in public, what he does and what he speaks.

It was only the other day that Pawan Kalyan announced that he would address a series of meetings, starting with Kakinada meeting, to highlight the demand for special category status to Andhra Pradesh and fight for the just cause of the people. As announced, he addressed a huge rally at Kakinada on Friday.

But on Saturday, Pawan sprang a surprise on his fans, party cadre and also people of the state that he would not address any more meetings in the state.

He said he had taken this decision following the death of his fan Venkata Ramana, who died of shock at his meeting at Kakinada.

While announcing a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to his family, Pawan said he did not want to cause pain to his fans by addressing public meetings.

“I don’t want to address any public meetings and cause inconvenience to the people. I will think of other forms of agitation,” Pawan said.

It is surprising, as one or two deaths due to stampede or accidents are very common in any public meetings of any political leader. That does not mean they would stop organizing public meetings.

Apparently, Pawan might have realized that he is not able to attract people with his speeches as he is not a great orator. So, it is better to opt out of meetings, rather than becoming a fool among the people!
