Just like the ruling TDP had wanted, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh is Vijayawada. After announcing the same in state Assembly, Babu has thrown up two important and rather interesting terms at people, one is decentralization and another is land pooling.
Now, it has emerged that Babu has made some note-worthy comments at a meeting with TDP’s Assembly members.
He is said to have told them that since the new capital city will be developed around Vijayawada, the farmers in the area must come forward to voluntarily give up their land.
Even if the farmers have some doubts, which is but natural, he is said to have told them that the farmers will see a gold rush in the coming days.
It is a known fact that the government has proposed land pooling to develop the new capital.
Accordingly, they want the farmers to give out lands on 40:60 ratio to the government to facilitate development of the region.
This means that the government is trying to tell them that they will stand to benefit immensely if they sell their farm lands to the government.
Gold rush apart, it looks like Babu has already started playing mind games with the farmers.
