Naidu@4: Inefficiency, Corruption and Lies!

The four-year rule of Andhra Pradesh chief minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is laden with blatant lies, rampant corruption, immense inefficiency, nepotism and gross neglect of the people due to the lack of governance.

This was the observation made by YSR Congress in its charge-sheet released on Friday.

“Naidu has failed on all fronts. He failed to get due share to the state from the Centre, despite being a coalition partner of the NDA for four years because of his personal agenda rather than state’s interests,” YSRC senior leaders Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and G Srikant Reddy said.

Some of the points mentioned in the charge sheet are:

With corruption being rampant from top leadership to the bottom rung cadre, all sections of the people were put to hardships with cartels and mafia being formed to siphon off the profits and funds released for welfare schemes.

The ill-gotten wealth was used to buy MLAs from the opposition camps and the government has made a mockery of democracy by inducting four of the turncoats into the cabinet.

While Special Category Status (SCS) was ridiculed by Chandrababu Naidu for the best part of four years, he took a U-turn and now is trying to shift the blame on BJP for stalling it though he was equally responsible for putting it on hold while only our leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took up the issue with seriousness and was pursuing it consistently.

None of the poll promises were fulfilled and in the name of capital formation, land was usurped from the farmers and it was designed in such a way to benefit the coterie of the leadership, they said.

The law and order was at its lowest ebb and there was no protection for women children and the common man with the abuse of police machinery by the ruling party.

After the cash for vote scheme had broken out, Chandrababu Naidu deliberately allowed the neighbouring state to draw more water that what was due and did not protest on various counts to save his skin nor did he complete the Polavaram project which was assured to be completed in 2017.

Housing and other welfare schemes did not progress while power and RTC fares were increased by the state burdening the common man, they said adding that the development was a naught.
