Naidu Warns Cadre Against Physical Attacks!

Naidu Warns Cadre Against Physical Attacks!

Apparently wary of the consequences of the Telugu Desam Party cadres attacking their political rivals physically, party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Thursday asked them not to indulge in such actions.

Referring to the alleged slipper attack on state BJP president Kanna Lakshminarayana at Kavali in Nellore district on Wednesday, Naidu asked the party cadre not to physically abuse political rivals.

He said his fight with the Centre was a fight of the righteous and there was no place for physical attacks on the rival politicians.

He, however, did not utter a word expressing regrets on the attack on Kanna or saying sorry for the incident.

Instead, he said the BJP leaders were bartering the interests of the state.

“If you can join me in the fight for the state, but do not betray the cause of the state,” he said.

Naidu reiterated that the Centre has duped the state by not giving the Steel Plant in Kadapa.

He said if the Centre waives the taxes for 15 years, he would construct the steel plant all by himself.

The chief minister does not want to give any advantage to the BJP to create an impression that there was a severe law and order problem in the state and that there is no protection to the Opposition parties in the state, since Naidu himself is instigating the ruling party cadres to attack the rivals.

If such attacks are on the rise, the BJP might not even hesitate to call for imposition of President’s Rule in the state and take control of the state administration.
