Naidu To Convert Rajahmundry Into Haridwar!

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has vowed to make Rajahmundry into a spiritual city on the lines of Haridwar of Uttarakhand.

“Rajahmundry is located on the banks of Godavari, which is as pious as Ganga River. It has various pilgrim centres in and around. During festive seasons, over six million people throng this town. We shall develop it into a spiritual city on the lines of Haridwar,” he told media from New Delhi.

“The pilgrims were from various parts of the country including from Maharashtra, Tamil Naidu, Kerala, Telangana, Odisa and people even foreign nations including United States of America is making his belief more firm that Rajahmundry would be like Haridwar in days to come. Last update from Rajahmundry says that Pilgrims visited had holy dip on the Ghats of Godavari has touched 2 crore,” he said.

He, however, sought to wash off his hands on his role in the Rajahmundry stampede tragedy.

“I welcome criticism. But as long as my conscious is clean, I will not bother about the criticism and I will remain focused on the development of the State,” he said.
