Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been showing unusual interest in the arrival of his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao on his arrival to Tirupati on Tuesday evening.
While Naidu has deputed his cabinet colleague Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy to personally receive KCR and his family members and other ministers, he also asked the Rayalaseema range IG, Chittoor SP and top police officials of Tirupati to supervise security arrangements for KCR’s visit to Tirumala. A large number of TDP leaders and other local VIPs would also be receiving KCR at the airport.
The Naidu government also arranged a huge convoy of vehicles to take KCR, his family members and ministers to Tirumala.
Special arrangements have been made for darshan of Lord Venkateshwara early on Wednesday, when he would present the gold ornaments to the god as part of fulfilling his vow he had taken during the Telangana movement.
“Such arrangements are made only when national leaders like President or Prime Minister visit Tirumala. Several CMs keep coming and going to Tirumala, but never was such massive reception was given to any of them,” a TTD official said.
