Naidu Suspects ex-CBI JD a BJP Agent!

Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is learnt to have got credible information that former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation V V Lakshminarayana, who took voluntary retirement from his police service, is a Bharatiya Janata Party mole.

Though Lakshminarayana has been dodging on his possible entry into politics, intelligence sources are learnt to have told Naidu that the ex-CBI official has been in touch with the top BJP leadership. In fact, his voluntary retirement from IPS service itself was an idea of the BJP, sources said.

Naidu reportedly told his party colleagues that the BJP had roped in Lakshminarayana to wean neutral voters away from the TDP.

“Information is that the arrangements for his village tours and meetings are being met by the BJP leaders. He is acting very cautiously so that he does not want to reveal his political plans.

He has been holding meetings with youth and middle class voters, who are generally in favour of the TDP,” party sources said.

According to them, the BJP’s strategy is to corner Naidu from all sides and isolate him from various sections of people using the YSR Congress party, the Jana Sena Party and Lakshminarayana.

“The BJP’s game plan is to see that Naidu does not come to power again in AP. It is different matter whether it will ultimately benefit the YSRC or Jana Sena,” the sources said.

Lakshminarayana has been denying all the speculations linking him to one party or the other. He said he was trying to understand the problems of the people, especially farmers and bring them to the notice of the government.

“Only god will decide whether I will contest or not in the ensuing elections, but I will work for betterment of society. Villages are being destroyed due to liquor and other bad habits. They should give up these habits for prosperity,” he said.
