Naidu Starts Personal Attacks On Modi

Hitherto, TDP president and AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had been targeting the NDA government at the Centre in general and BJP in particular for doing injustice to the state in terms of denial of special category status and also non-implementation of promises made in AP Reorganisation Act.

Even while referring to criticising the Prime Minister’s Office for entertaining YSR Congress party MP V Vijay Sai Reddy and also BJP president Amit Shah’s letter, Naidu refrained from making any personal attacks on either Modi or Shah.

He always asked people to fight with the Centre for status and other demands, but never made comments personally against the central leaders.

But on Thursday, Naidu chose to deliberately target Modi. He declared that the war against Modi had begun and asked the people to pull him down from power.

“Teach a fitting lesson Modi for his betrayal of our faith. It is time to wage a war against him,” he said, speaking at different meetings.

He even equated Modi’s government with that of the British government before independence.

“I don’t see any difference between the British government and the Modi government at the Centre,” he said.

Naidu wondered why Modi was undertaking fast.

“Have you ever seen a Prime Minister going on hunger strike in the history of the country? He is trying to cover up his inefficneicy in running parliament and throw blame it on the people of the state. He is instigating the party cadre against the state,” he alleged.

Naidu went to the extent of saying that Modi did not want Andhra Pradesh to develop.

“When AP is asking for special status, he is instigating other states to demand the same. He is the happiest person, if development comes to a halt in Andhra,” he said.
