Telugu Desam Party legislator from Payakaraopet in Visakhapatnam district V Anitha had been in the news for more than a year, thanks to her confrontation with YSR Congress party MLA R K Roja.
She almost got Roja suspended from the assembly for one more year, but for the lenience given by Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
In fact, Anitha had been in the limelight more than any other women MLA else, for her aggressive stance against Roja. Not a single day passed when Anitha did not appear in the news.
The TDP MLAs demanded Roja to tender unconditional apology to Anitha in order to avoid suspension for the second time. Even at the media point, Anitha tried to hog the limelight by fighting with YSR Congress party MLA Giddi Eshwari.
Obviously, Anitha thought her aggressiveness would impress TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu who would take her into the cabinet during the recent reshuffle.
At one stage, her name also figured among the probables and she was on cloud nine. But finally when the expansion happened, Anitha was terribly disappointed and even frustrated.
In fact, Roja had even warned Anitha not to expect too much from Naidu, who was known for back-stabbing. And she was proved right, as Naidu showed Anitha her place.
Now, she is trying to console herself, saying when several seniors like Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy and Jyothula Nehru could not get the cabinet berths, it was too much for her to expect the berth!
