Naidu Rules Out Brahmani's Entry Into Politics

Whenever Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu comes to Hyderabad and addresses the functionaries of Telangana TDP unit, he faces a tough question from them as to who would lead the party in the state in the next elections.

Though the TDP does not have much stakes in Telangana, Naidu has been desperately trying to infuse some confidence in them stating that the party had bright future in Telangana, too, and that there was no threat to the party cadre.

But he has not been able to project a proper leader for the Telangana TDP. So, every time, the cadre asks Naidu to make either Junior NTR or Nara Brahmani as the in-charge of the party in Telangana so that it would bring some life to the party. Though Naidu had been dodging this demand all these days, they were not happy.

On Friday, Naidu categorically told them that there was no question of bringing his daughter-in-law Nara Brahmini into politics.

Reacting to the Telangana TDP leaders’ request for roping in Brahmani into politics to lead the Telangana unit, Naidu firmly told them that she was not interested in politics at all. She will not take up political responsibility as she was busy with her business Heritage Group.

Last time, the Telangana TDP leaders wanted Naidu to bring Junior NTR into the party to lead the Telangana unit. This made Naidu very angry and he shouted them down.

“Don’t expect that persons from Nara family or Nandamuri family should come and take the responsibility. The leaders should emerge from within yourself,” he said then.
