Naidu Prefers Subba Reddy To Akhila?

Naidu Prefers Subba Reddy To Akhila?

The happy days of Bhuma Akhila Priya, youngest minister in Chandrababu Naidu cabinet holding tourism portfolio, in Telugu Desam Party seem to be over now.

Ever since she defected from YSR Congress party into the TDP and became the minister, she has been trying to dominate the party politics in Nandyal and Allagadda.

This has caused a lot of heartburn among the seniors, particularly A V Subba Reddy, who was in fact a close associate of her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy, former Nandyal MLA.

Since then, there have been ego clashes between Subba Reddy and Akhila and both have been trying to hold meetings to dominate each other.

Most of the times, the party cadres have backed Subba Reddy who is more experienced and senior in the party, causing a lot of resentment in Akhila camp.

With the internal bickering in Allagadda gaining alarming proportions, Subba Reddy at one stage is learn to have decided to quit the TDP to join the YSR Congress party.

Naidu who came to know about it, called Subba Reddy to Vijayawada on Thursday to sort out the differences between the two.

He reportedly assured that Subba Reddy’s political future would be safe and that he would ensure Akhila would not undermine his seniority.

At the same time, Naidu also called Akhila Priya and pulled her up. He said she should learn to respect the seniors in the party.

“I can understand your problems with him, but you should learn to overcome them. In fact, I had faced more problems than you in the party but I had to deal with them with a lot of patience. Since you have got the opportunity in politics at a very young age, you have a lot of chance to grow to higher positions, if you learn to handle crisis situations,” Naidu told her.

An elated Subba Reddy told media later that he would continue to work for the party, but not for Akhila Priya.

“There are differences between the two, but they would not affect the party. I am happy with the assurances given by the chief minister,” he said.

At the same time, he said there was no question of leaving Allagadda.

“Nobody can stop me from going there. It is my birth place,” Subba Reddy said.
