Some time back, Chandrababu was seriously considering postponing his Japan trip in the wake of the 'cash-for-vote' controversy and speculation that he might be served notices by the Telangana ACB.
But in the game of political upmanship, he has managed to outsmart KCR completely by bringing Hyderabad and law and order in Hyderabad, into the equation.
Party sources felt that if Naidu were to leave for Japan, it would leave the TDP without a leader to respond to the TRS tirade.
Now Naidu is currently in Japan trying to get the companies there to part with their money. This is an indication that he is no longer worried about the ACB investigation.
It is believed that KCR has been forced to arrive at a compromise with Naidu. The lackluster investigation by the Telangana ACB only strengthens this view.
