Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu is quite senior to his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao both in politics as well as administration.
But of late, Naidu is giving an impression that he is just taking lessons from KCR in launching populist schemes and programmes that would divert the attention of the people from real issues.
Take for instance, Naidu’s latest decision to develop Srisailam temple by creating modern infrastructure around the temple complex, such as expansion of township and development of an outer ring road around the area.
This is absolutely ridiculous and a blind imitation of KCR’s grandiose plan of developing Yadagirigutta, say experts.
First of all, Srisailam is located in Nallamala forest hills and as such, it is not advisable to destroy forest to develop a modern temple complex.
Secondly, Andhra Pradesh already has Tirumala temple, which is the richest in the entire world and hence, there is no need to develop another Tirupati at Srisailam. Such an attempt would only destroy the serenity of the Srisailam temple complex.
Not just Srisailam, Naidu has been contemplating several schemes that were already introduced by KCR in Telangana – such as She Cabs, double-bedroom houses and water grid. Can’t he come out with his own new schemes?
