Naidu Knocking Away Central Funds

Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government in Andhra Pradesh was diverting funds given by the Centre for rural development.

BJP state unit president Kanna Lakshminarayana wrote a letter to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to this effect on Wednesday.

He alleged that Naidu had not spent any funds given by the Centre for rural development and diverted the same for other programmes.

He also accused Naidu of causing a hindrance to the rural development by ignoring the panchayat elections that are supposed to be held shortly.

The BJP leader also asked the chief minister if the State government was ready for a thorough probe by the CBI into the call money sex racket scandal.

“The call money sex racket scandal rocked the entire country, but your government has played a spectator’s role in it. Out of the 1,700 call money cases registered, how many charge sheets were filed, and how many were convicted?” Kanna sought to know.

Demanding immediate response from Naidu, Kanna further questioned if the TDP government was ready for a CBI investigation into the ‘Visakhapatnam land scam’ in which the ruling party leaders were allegedly involved.

Kanna also asked Naidu if he could assure the people of Andhra Pradesh that the TDP would not enter into an alliance with the Congress, with which the yellow party was cosying up lately.
