Naidu Incurs Wrath Of Government Employees!

Ever since he came to power, Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been making every effort to keep the state government employees in good humour.

He increased their retirement age from 58 to 60; implemented five-day week for the employees, provided huge house rent allowance for them and implemented pay revision commission.

Even in giving them hike in dearness allowance, Naidu is much ahead of his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Yet, Naidu had to face the wrath of the employees on Tuesday. The AP NGOs went up in arms against the TDP government and staged protest dharnas in Vijayawada over the regularization of the contract employees.

This is the first time the NGOs are staging protests in all the districts after the bifurcation of the state.

The NGOs also demanded closing outsourcing process and protested against the contributory pension scheme under the leadership of APNGO president Ashok Babu.

Speaking to the media in this regard, the employees said that they are demanding additional weightage to the pension for the employees and increasing retirement age of class 4 employees from 60 to 62.

They also informed that the state government is yet to clear the arrears which were kept pending for 3 years.

Now, let us how Naidu would respond. After all, he cannot afford to rub the employees on wrong shoulders with just two years to go for the next elections!
