Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu might not have got a very impressive image in the people of Andhra Pradesh for his performance in the last two and a half years, but in Delhi, it looks like his charisma as a leader is still intact.
It was evident from the kind of response Naidu got right from the moment he landed in Delhi to particulate in the leadership summit organised by a leading national daily.
According to reports from New Delhi, in the airport, legend cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who was leaving for his Mumbai, suddenly stopped and came to Naidu to greet him. While Naidu appreciated Sachin for his adopting the village in Nellore with his MP funds, the cricketer was all praise for the administration of Naidu.
When he arrived at the venue of the summit, people, especially youth and girls, surrounded him, jostled with each other to shake hands with him, pose for photographs with him and even took selfies with him.
And at the summit, he got a standing ovation and there were loud applauses whenever he gave strong answers to the questions.
He was brimming with confidence throughout the meeting and after the session is finished, several VIPs including industrialists and foreign investors vied with one another to give him their visiting cards. Some of the audiences also took autographs.
To sum up, Naidu still enjoyed the celebrity status in Delhi. May be the kind of hype given by the media has helped him gain the larger than life size image!
