It is now an open secret that Telugu Desam Party general secretary and Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh is still taking baby steps in politics.
Despite being inexperienced and a political novice, his father and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu made him a minister and gave him three important portfolios.
But he is now said to be regretting for his move, as Lokesh has blatantly exposed his lack of experience and proper homework by fumbling in public and making erroneous statements as a result of which he has become a subject of ridicule.
Perhaps this is the reason why Naidu has decided to drop him from his official US tour commencing on May 3.
According to official sources, Naidu will be accompanied by finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, advisor Parakala Prabhakar and senior officials including IT advisor J A Choudhary, APNRT President V Ravikumar, higher officials Sai Prasad, Ajay Jain, Salmon Arokyaraj, Vijayanand and Economic Development Board President Krisha Kishore.
The team will tour those areas concentrated with Telugu NRIs till May 12 and focus on attracting investments including in IT sector.
In the normal scenario, Lokesh being an IT minister, should be part of the official delegation, but Naidu is afraid that if Lokesh makes a mess of his speeches in the US, it would backfire on him.
So, it is better to avoid Lokesh, rather than becoming a bunch of jokers!
