Naidu brings patch-up between Akhila, AV

At last, the two warring groups in Allagadda led by tourism minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and senior Telugu Desam Party leader A V Subba Reddy agreed to sink their differences, at least for now, and work for strengthening of the party in the constituency.

The two leaders on Friday met TDP president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who took a lengthy class to both of them seriously.

He told them that unless they resolve their disputes, it would be very difficult for the party to survive in the constituency.

“I will protect the interests of both of you and there is no question of doing any injustice to anyone. You leave everything to me and work together. Otherwise the party will be in trouble and that will lead to ruining of career of both of you,” he said.

Later, both Akhila and Subba Reddy addressed a joint press conference in the presence of TDP MLC Varla Ramaiah. Akhila said she would abide by whatever Naidu had advised her and work with seniors like Subba Reddy.

“Chandrababu Naidu is my godfather. I will sort out any differences with Subba Reddy and we shall work together to strengthen the party. I will fulfil the responsibility given to me,” she said.

Subba Reddy also said he would forget his differences with Akhila and cooperate with her in the constituency.

“I shall follow Naidu’s suggestions in this regard,” he said.

It remains to be seen how long both the groups would follow this peace formula.
