Mudragada Aims At Dethroning Naidu!

After waging a relentless battle to achieve reservations for Kapus in education and employment, former minister and Kapu strongman Mudragada Padmanabham has only one-point agenda before him now: ensure the defeat of Telugu Desam Party president and Andhdra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu in 2019 elections.

“We shall not rest till Naidu is pulled down from power. We have realised that justice to Kapus will not be done unless the TDP is defeated in the elections and all the Kapus will work in that direction from now on,” Mudragada told media persons on Thursday.

Mudragada accused Naidu of diluting the two-and-a-half-year fight of Kapus by adopting double standards on the issue of implementation of assurances.

“It took three and a half years to get the report in favour of Kapu reservations and a GO issued. How many years does it take for bringing it into implementation?” he asked.

He pointed out that the government was issuing notifications for various jobs of late, but there was no mention of OBC-F quota in any of the notifications, providing five per cent reservations to Kapus.

“The chief minister has cheated the Kapu community. He conveniently forgot his promise of giving effect to BC status to Kapus,” he said.

Regarding the TDP movement against the Centre on special category status demand, the Kapu leader demanded that Naidu stages a dharna at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence in New Delhi for the cause.
