MPs' Talk Exposed TDP Drama!

YSR Congress party on Friday said the comments made by the Telugu Desam Party MPs in Andhra Pradesh Bhavan on the indefinite strike of their colleague C M Ramesh clearly exposed the party’s theatrics and dramas in the name of protests for Kadapa steel plant.

YSRC official spokesman Ambati Rambabu said party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu had lost control over his own party.

“In the name of deekshas, his party leaders have mortgaged the self-respect of Telugu people in Delhi and made a mockery of protests by resorting to theatrics,” he said.

Rambabu said the TDP MPs sitting in Delhi had passed comments which did the rounds in social media before entering the mainline channels. The Naidu government has made huge efforts to stall the telecast.

“The MPs have been taking turns for the deeksha and making fun of it while Murali Mohan, Avanthi Srinivas and JC Diwakar Reddy have been talking in different voices and Naidu is in no position to take action against any of them as he is scared of the leaders which shows that he lost control over the Party,” Ambati said.

He alleged that Ramesh, who had been on deeksha demanding steel plant at Kadapa had been miraculously going ahead defying all medical sciences by being healthy with every passing day and waiting for the Chief Minister to come to Kadapa and make a big show of the deeksha.

“This is how TDP has been making a mockery of deekshas,” he said.

He said five MPs of YSRC had resigned for the cause of Special Category Status (SCS) and they had the right to sit on deeksha but not TDP MPs who did not resign but sailed with the ruling coalition at the Centre for better part of the five-year term and now started making noise only to put up a show.

Naidu on his part, who is undertaking Porata Deeksha at Kakinada has reduced the protest programme into a farce and he lost the moral right to question as he did not question the Centre for four years nor did he bother to take up the poll promises.

“BJP had earlier said that it will probe into the charges levelled against Naidu while the chief minister had expressed fears that cases would be foisted against him after Karnataka elections. But nothing has happened as there is a secret pact between the two parties and the silence at Niti Ayog meeting vouches for it,” he said.
