Mothkupalli Ready To Get Out Of TDP!

Former minister and senior Telugu Desam Party leader in Telangana Mothkupalli Narasimhulu is all set to call it quits to the party sooner or later.

It was evident from his conspicuous absence at the party’s Telangana Mahanadu held in Hyderabad on Thursday.

Last week, too, he skipped the preparatory Mahanadu held by the Telangana TDP stating that he had not got any invite.

However, Telangana TDP president L Ramana said being a senior leader Mothkupalli himself should organise the meeting and should not expect an invitation from the party.

With his absence, Mothkupalli sent clear signals that he was not interested in continuing in the party. There were reports that Mothkupalli was getting ready to join the TRS and got the clearance from TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

TRS minister from Nalgonda G Jagadish Reddy is learnt to have lobbied for the TDP leader’s entry into the TRS.

A few months ago, when Naidu came to Hyderabad and addressed the party functionaries at NTR Trust Bhavan, Mothkupalli was not informed in advance.

He expressed grief that the party was ignoring him, though he was the founder member of the TDP.

“Right from the beginning, I had been loyal to the TDP. I never changed the parties like others. I strived hard to protect the party during the Telangana agitation,” he pointed out.

He, however, said he would continue to be loyal to the party till his last breath, But now, he decided against keeping away from the party completely.

As expected, TDP MLA from L B Nagar and BC leader R Krishnaiah, too, stayed away from the party Mahanadu.
